What's the head height in your loft?
Stand in the middle of your loft and reach up. This is the most important factor in viability.
Honest note on low head height: A ridge height under 2.0m makes a full conversion very difficult and sometimes impossible without a roof lift. However, modern PIR insulation techniques can recover 40–50mm of usable headroom compared to older methods — which sometimes makes the difference. The only way to know for certain is a proper survey. We will always tell you honestly if your loft isn't viable.

Adding plumbing is one of the bigger cost variables in a garage conversion.

We waited one year for Fox Conversions' availability to start on our loft conversion and total refurbishment of our Victorian house, and it was indeed, worth the wait! Overall project took eight months to complete, as there were changes and discovery of structural problems that needed to be addressed first. As anyone can imagine the stress for any homeowners to take on such big job, without a project manager for guidance. It was both sheer delight and relief to work with Chris as he offered clear and precise breakdown steps, costs and explanation with the work. The whole process was done professionally quick to high standards, flexibility in offering practical advice or options, no short of calamity and patience till the end. Chris and his team were punctual, friendly and tidy in their jobs. Felt like we have found 'The Foxes building empire team' for our project as various members of Chris' family were brought in to complete different parts of the project, and they were too, all amazing in their work!
There was no hesitation for Chris to return to fix some minor teething issue, as this project was complete a year ago, our house at present, looks just as good and new as the initial hand over of completion!
Fox Conversions come with our highest recommendations and we will not hesitate in working with them again for any future projects! As a matter of fact, our architect whom had recommended Chris to us, and he in turn, had commissioned Chris to undertake his loft conversion too!
